Ph. D. Miroslav Kaduch, born in 1938 in Radvanice (Czeh Republic),
studied at the Technical High School in Kopřivnice (1957).In
1967 he finished his studies of musicology at the Faculty of Arts
(J. Ev. Purkyně University in Brno). He was given his candidature
in 1978.
At present he has been acting as a lector of the theory and
history of music at the Public Conservatoire in Ostrava. He dealt
with musical review in daily and special papers, he popularized
artificial and non-artificial music by means of TV and radio
broadcasting. His own activity, however, means musicological
research.
Ph. D. Miroslav Kaduch concentrates on folklore studies (Josef
Mojžíšek) and on the theory and history of music as well (an
orthography of European music - contemporary composers) Our
musicologist is fond of special electro - acoustic and computer
musical formations, or that of artificial inteligence questions,
being applied in the field of musicology.
